Avatar: The Last Airbender Arrives in Blu-Ray This Summer, Features All Seasons and More. See details...

Nickelodeon has decided to give Avatar: The Last Airbender the Blu-ray treatment, nearly a decade after the critically acclaimed animated television series concluded the tyranny of the Fire Nation for peace and prosperity across the world.
According to an exclusive report from IGN on the weekend, the Blu-ray box set will feature all the three seasons (Book One: Water, Book Two: Earth, Book Three: Fire) and much more. This includes various special and bonus features such as behind-the-scenes footage, commentary from the creators and cast, the making-of process for certain events, never-before-seen raw animated sketches, and uncut sequences from the original series.

Avatar: The Last Airbender premiered in 2005 for the first time and aired its last episode in 2008. The series revolved around Aang, a prophesied Avatar that can control all the elements. However, he ran away when the world needed him to fulfil his duty, only to be encased in an iceberg for one hundred years.
The animated series was received warmly by fans of all ages, and hailed for its deep lore and character developments. The success eventually lead to a live-action adaptation movie in 2010 that — unsurprisingly — failed miserably.
Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Complete Series will hit retail stores this summer. The Blu-ray will be available exclusively at Best Buy from May 1, before becoming available elsewhere on June 5 at a suggested retail price of $44.99.

The Legend of Korra, a four-season long sequel to the original series, was already released on Blu-ray in 2016 after concluding in 2014.
